Makaila, Kristi and I met for lunch on Saturday at The Culture House and then went to see Pippi Longstocking (Långstrump in Swedish). It was fantastic. I'm not sure what I preferred - watching M or watching the production. She was delighted and so were we! It was so much fun that I want to go back again.
Mind you nothing will ever beat watching her watch live theatre for the first time.
As a child i was desperate to go to a fancy dress party dressed as Pippi Longstocking, complete with wire in my plaits to make them stand out... sadly this never happened :)
ReplyDeleteI also remember taking the kids to see Hi-5 on stage, not quite a play, but 'live' nonetheless.... I can still remember feeling very teary/emotional because the kids were just gobsmacked... they were expecting to see Hi-5 on a big screen and there they were... 'really' there, up on stage in front of them... It is a great memory.
